    Punch FEature
    1. Most tools can be easily loaded by a single operator.
    2. Easy to store.
    3. All sectionalised tools come pre-cut in nine different pieces.
    4. Most sectionalised punches include two ear pieces (horns).
    5. Punches are induction hardened, to 45-50 HRC but 55-60HRC is available for every punch in the tooling line.
    6. Special Tooling available.

    Die Feature
    Single V tooling and double V tooling has only one or two tooling grooves, which is very common in CNC press brake and has high precision. Multi-V lower toolings are mostly square toolings with multiple tooling grooves on four surfaces of different sizes. The advantage is that there are many tooling grooves and it can adapt to the bending of various thick plates.

  • Tooling Maintenance and Wear
    Regular tool maintenance is vital for radius dies. The forming surface can wear down over time, particularly the crest of the radius, altering the resulting bend profile. Operators should periodically inspect the die profile using a radius gauge to detect wear. Worn radius dies must be replaced or professionally reground to maintain the part's dimensional specification. Proper cleaning and anti-rust oil application after use will prevent corrosion and extend tooling lifespan.

    Control and Accuracy
    Although air bending can produce a radius, its size is determined by the V-die opening and varies with material thickness and yield strength. Radius tools offer superior control because they mechanically enforce the radius shape. This is essential when a strict radius tolerance is required (e.g., ± 0.5mm). Dedicated tooling eliminates the fluctuation caused by material batch variation, ensuring higher process reliability and geometric accuracy.
