    Punch FEature
    1. Most tools can be easily loaded by a single operator.
    2. Easy to store.
    3. All sectionalised tools come pre-cut in nine different pieces.
    4. Most sectionalised punches include two ear pieces (horns).
    5. Punches are induction hardened, to 45-50 HRC but 55-60HRC is available for every punch in the tooling line.
    6. Special Tooling available.

    Die Feature
    Single V tooling and double V tooling has only one or two tooling grooves, which is very common in CNC press brake and has high precision. Multi-V lower toolings are mostly square toolings with multiple tooling grooves on four surfaces of different sizes. The advantage is that there are many tooling grooves and it can adapt to the bending of various thick plates.

    The charts below give the appropriate tonnage to air bend mild steel.

    Bending force for other metals:
    Soft aluminium Tons per unit length x 50%
    Aluminium alloys heat treated Tons per unit length x 100% 
    Stainless Tons per unit length x 150%

  • Verifying TOOL Hardness
    The quality of a radius tools is assured through rigorous quality control, including verification of the hardness profile after heat treatment. Uniform hardness (typically measured in HRC) across the entire forming surface ensures consistent wear and prevents premature failure or chipping of the radius edge. This commitment to metallurgical quality guarantees the die’s durability and its ability to maintain high geometric accuracy over hundreds of thousands of cycles.

    HVAC and Air Ducts
    In HVAC and air duct manufacturing, smooth, large radii are preferred to minimize airflow turbulence and pressure drops. Radius tools are employed to create precise, gentle bends in thin-gauge material for ducts and plenums. The use of specialized tooling ensures a consistent inner contour that facilitates efficient air handling, making these dies essential for energy-efficient air conditioning components.
