  • Description of use:
The clamping system of press brake machine plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, safety and efficiency of the bending operation:

    1. Secure workpiece positioning:
The main function of the clamping system is to hold the workpiece firmly in place during the bending process. The clamping fingers or clamps apply pressure to the edge of the metal sheet to prevent it from moving or shifting while bending. This ensures that the workpiece remains in the correct position relative to the bending tool, allowing for precise and consistent bending.

    2.Minimize material movement:
The clamping system minimizes material movement during the bending process by firmly clamping the workpiece. This helps maintain the accuracy of the bending angle and prevents problems such as springback, which is the return of the material to its original shape after bending.

    3. Improve operator safety:
A properly functioning clamping system improves operator safety by reducing the risk of accidents caused by an unsecured or loose workpiece. It prevents the workpiece from popping out or being misplaced during the bending process, minimizing the possibility of injury to the operator.

    4. Support different workpiece sizes and shapes:
The clamping system is designed to accommodate a variety of workpiece sizes, shapes and thicknesses. Adjustable clamping fingers and clamping levers allow the operator to quickly and easily adapt the clamping system to different bending requirements, providing production flexibility.

    5. Improve bending accuracy and consistency:
Consistent clamping pressure across the width of the workpiece helps ensure uniform bending results. The clamping system maintains a constant clamp on the workpiece throughout the bending process, contributing to the accuracy and repeatability of the bend.

The clamping system is a key component of the press brake and is essential for safe, precise and efficient bending operations. Its correct use and maintenance are essential to achieving high-quality results in metal manufacturing processes.
